Hebrews 1

Happy Monday, everyone! Welcome home, Pastor Susan and Pastor Sharon! And congrats to Grammie Kim on her new grandson!

How 'bout we chomp on Hebrews a chapter a day starting this week? Personally, I've been asking God for a renewed hunger for His Word -- and He's been faithful to start stirring it up in me. I can't wait to hear what He's showing you as we read this week!

I like how Hebrews 1 kicks it off right away in verses 1 & 2 ... "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son..."

Back in the day, God spoke a) to the FATHERS and b) by the PROPHETS. Now, he speaks to US by His SON. No longer is communication - and therefore, an intimate relationship - with God reserved only for the spiritual leaders --- it's for every child of God! WE can hear from God! And no longer is the communication delivered via someone else, it comes straight from God the Son!

Wow, that really warms my heart and excites me! What great love God has for us! How much He wants to have relationship with us! Now, where will i be when He's seeking me to talk? Will i take the time? Lord, make it so!
