Friday I Timothy 5

There is so much in this chapter that is instructional. In fact, you could use it to teach your children how to respect people. But I love the last two verses - "Remember, the sins of some people are obvious, leading them to certain judgment. But there are others whose sins will not be revealed until later. In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light."
We just never know about people. Some will look like they haven't done anything and yet their deeds aren't seen. Others will look like they are pure and are "secret" sinners. We can't be the judge of anyone, we can only judge ourselves. Only God knows our heart and what we do, in public and in secret. That is a great lesson to teach your children and those you are discipling.

I like the parts in this chapter that speak of taking care of your family members -- and how if i don't, it's "worse than refusing to believe in the first place." Wow, God really puts the emphasis on "faith without works is dead." I guess now Dustin really will have to put in that "mother-in-law" addition! =)

Amen on the Mother-in-law addition/cottage!

That part about judging people is so good. Sometimes I am too quick to assess the situation/person when I really just need to hear God's voice and get His discerment about what is going on!
As for the mother-in-law addition/cottage, let's remember you have two of them!!! Better make that cottage a double-wide so they have plenty of room to spread out. ;)
