Saturday Psalm 95

"Come let us sing.........." Singing is a powerful act of worship. God created singing - it is a way of communicating that is tied to our soul!! Singing expresses what we feel in so many ways - the words we sing tell a story, the melody tells the mood, the tempo creates in us a reaction in our bodies, the loudness or softness creates an atmosphere......"come let us sing to the Lord...."
I believe the Lord is listening for the "song" from His people. A song that will tell Him we love him and adore Him and worship Him - and here in chapter 95 David is shouting "joyfully" in his song. Our expressions to the Lord should be from our heart and our heart should be full of Him!!!
The Lord doesn't look at the quality of our voice or the tune we sing - if we are in tune or not!!! He is looking for a sincere heart that will express to Him the love we feel in song!!!
Sooooooooo sing out loud to the Lord. Tell Him how you feel, in song, with your voice and your words!!! It's what David commands us to do over and over again in the Psalms.......sing!!!
I love verse 7 "we are the people he watches over, the flock under his care".
We are His concern!!! He doesn't even wait to hear from us - He is just concerned and watching over us. Remember that when you begin to let fear and loneliness take over. He is there!
I guess, I felt encouraged as I read this chapter. Just sing and remember - "let not your heart be troubled" and Shout joyfully!!!!
Have a great Saturday!
PS Thanks, Arlene, for posting these last two weeks. It has been great!
