He is kind and merciful, slow to get angry, full of unfailing love
good to everyone, showers compassion on all his creation
the Lord is faithful in all he says, he is gracious in all he does
helps the fallen and lifts up those bent beneath their loads
gives us our food as we need it
opens his hand and satisfies the hunger and thirst of every living thing
righteous in everything he does, filled with kindness,
close to all who call on him sincerely
fulfills the desire of those who fear him
hears our cries for help and rescues us
protects all who love him
How can we not praise and worship Him? If we really believe this is who God is to us, we will trust him totally, without giving a second thought! This revelation of who God is to us comes through the Word and through life experiences and has to move from our brains into our spirit man. Vs 4, 5 & 6b … “Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts, I will mediate on your majestic, glorious splendor, and your wonderful miracles…I will proclaim your greatness” What we continually speak about and what we mediate on is what and who we will believe in! How will the next generation and the next one and the next believe who God is if we are not sharing with them what God has done in our lives?
“The Lord helps the fallen and lifts up the those bent beneath their loads.” We are here as women to come along side each other to shoulder the load that has us bent over. Does something in life have us walking bent? Have we shared it with a prayer partner? Have you ever walked bent over? What do you see? In the natural you see the concrete sidewalk. In the spiritual, you see the circumstance. But together, sharing the load, we can lift up our eyes, our focus, to God our Father and who He is to us! Let’s shoulder the load together by worshipping God, trusting him, and allowing HIM to carry the load that has us bent over.
