Good morning everyone - I am later this morning so I hope you catch up with me later in the day if I was too late for you this morning.
As I was reading this Psalm I noticed that the David was describing the Lord is several ways:
Vs 3 - Great is the Lord!
Vs 8 - The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and fill with unfailing love.
Vs 9 - The Lord is good to everyone.
Vs 13B - The Lord always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does.
Vs 14 - The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.
Vs 17 - The Lord is righteous is all He does; He is filled with kindness
Vs 18 - The Lord is close to all who call on Him.
Vs 19 - He grants the desires of all those who fear Him.
Vs 20 - The Lord protects all those who love Him.
Which attribute really ministers to you today? I believe we know this about God but in these days we are going to have to believe He is the answer and then lean on Him in each of these areas!!! I love vs 18 - The Lord is close to ALL who call on Him. It doesn't matter who you are - you have permission to call on the Lord AND He promises to be close to you and hear you and even to answer you. You might be surprised with the answer, but, believe me, it will be the BEST answer.
Have a great Friday!!!

I love the verse that says "You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing." That really ministers to me. I think there is a desire in every person that can only be satisfied by God. I know in my own life, there is something in me that will never be satisfied by a person, husband, kids, position, money, etc. Sometimes I start feeling empty or burned out or weary, and I start looking for other things to satisfy me (attention from my husband, friendship, ministry, etc). Those things are all great and I highly value in my life, but none of them are meant to be the all-in-all satisfaction that relationship with the Lord brings. I love that verse.
That is so true. David sure learned that but he learned it by having everything that he loved taken away from him and then he realized that all he really needed was his relationship with the Lord. I believe the Lord uses things in our lives to prove Himself to us in so many ways. When I look back on the journey I have taken and what each circumstance has done in me and to me, I wouldn't trade any of them for the "things" I thought I needed. God is so good!!! Thanks for sharing!
