Reading the book of Acts is like reading someone's diary. Every detail of the trip and the people they met and what happened is included. It is a real encouragement as you read to realize these people were just like us. They had doubts and they criticized others and wondered if they were worthy of receiving the news of the Gospel - and then they had to change their minds because the evidence was so overwhelming. Vs 18 "When the elders heard this they stopped objecting and began praising God." Wow - they knew when it was really God and they began to rejoice with the believers, even though they were Gentiles.
I believe in the days ahead we are going to have to lay down some of our own preconceived ideas and accept things because God is going to touch people we wouldn't think are very worthy!!! Get ready to change some of what you think is "the only way". How will we know it is really God? We will be able to tell. Just like those elders - they knew if was the same "spirit" they they had received and they were willing to say - we were wrong!
Have a wonderful weekend and see you on Sunday! - if you are going to LCC!!!
On Monday we will ready chapter 12 of Acts.

When the disciples realized they could also start sharing the gospel with the Gentiles, a whole new world opened up to them. How exciting! Each day should be that exciting for me when I venture out of this house to realize that the gospel I know is for EVERYONE! Watch out world... here we come!
