There three headings in my Bible throughout this chapter. The first is for verses 1-14 and it is "Living in the Light". The next is for verses 15-20 and it says "Living by the Spirit's Power". The last is for verses 22-33 and it says "Spirit-Guided Relationships: Wives and Husbands".
The one I would like to talk about is the first one about light. One of the things I live by is knowing that all things are going to be revealed by God's light - eventually. Anything we feel compelled to hide from Him - which is impossible if you think about it - would mean it is a sin and He will reveal it one day with His light. Light dispells darkness and brings revelation and freedom. Living in God's light is imitating Him. I love verse 10 "Carefully determine what pleases the Lord." If we really did that, our lives would not be lived by what pleases us - but what He is pleased with - hmmm - I wonder how different my life would be???
