Friday Colossians 4

This is the final chapter in Colossians. I love how real it is. Just like a dad talking to his kids. Paul is very proud of this church and this letter just seems like a confirming word to them to keep on keeping on. Keep on praying, keep on loving one another, keep on serving one another......... it's in our keeping on and our faithfulness that God brings fruit from our lives. The list of people Paul mentions at the end of this chapter is like him telling us, "I haven't done this alone - these guys and gals stood by me - give them credit too." What God has called us to do we can never accomplish in our own strength - we need a team of people standing by our side, keeping us accountable, and only with God's help too can we ever accomplish the task He has called us to.
Thank you all those who have stood by my side. I need you - we need each other. Thanks for praying for me. Together we can do ALL God is asking of us. Together we can reap the harvest He is giving to Lincoln City Church. Keep on keeping on!!!

Next week we are going to read ITimothy. There are six chapters so we will read one each day for 6 days beginning on Monday.

I love verse 5 and 6 in my new version! "Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so you will have the right response for everyone."

Being gracious and making the most of every opportunity. That is wisdom!

Also, verse 2 made me chuckle a little - not in a good way - "Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and thankful heart." How many times have I prayed and not had an alert mind? I don't want to even guess. I love how clear this is.

When we walk in prayer and with wisdom, we see lives transformed around us.
