New regulations, new lifestyle......

As I have been reading through Leviticus I have been asking the Lord to help me apply something to my own life. There seems to be so much time taken to explain all the rules the people had to follow in their new life in the wilderness. They are no longer under Egyptian rule, now they are establishing their own nation with their own government....with God as their King!
It probably seems similar to a new Christian. They find they need new friends and a new lifestyle and sometimes they need great explanation from us in order to understand why or how. The Bible seems like a manual they have a hard time understanding until they have lived in their new life for a while.
It's kind of like my new adventure begining a new job. I am having to learn the medical language and the dos and don'ts of each department. I even have to learn government regulations!
What is important to remember is that there is a reason behind every rule and regulation. I don't understand it all right now but I am sure I will eventually. Everyone is being very patient with me. It is so similar with new Christians. They don't understand everything right away and we patiently explain and show them in the Word.
Everything in the Bible has importance. We don't always see it when we read it, but we have to know it is for our own good.
Have a great week!
