Livinng as we should

When we read from both the Old and New Testaments, as today, the contents is often very different from each other. However, I was struck today at what we are told on how to live. In Lev. 22:31 & 32 we read "So shall you heartily accept My commandments and conform your life and conduct to them. I am the Lord. Neither shall you profane My holy name. But I will be hallowed among the Israelites. I am the Lord Who consecrates and makes you holy." Our lives are to be conformed and conducted according to all His teachings, not according to only what we want to obey.
Then we read in Matt. 28:19,20 which are Jesus' last words to His disciples: :Go then and make disciples of ALL THE NATIONS baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you and behold, I am with You all the days (perpetually, uniformly and on every occasion) to the (very) close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be)."
We have Jesus as our example, and thank the Lord we don't have to live according to all that the Israelites did, offering the blood of animals to pay for our shortcomings. But we have Jesus - and He has given us His Holy Spirit to help us live exactly as He taught. And, we should teach the same to ALL NATIONS. How great a commission that is!
So, let us live by HIS example, doing as HE taught us to do, going where HE wants us to go, and the promise is that He would be with us perpetually, uniformly and on every occasion. Can't get any better than that.
