It's All About Praising the Lord!

We are finishing up Psalms today. It is a long book but so reminds you who to trust and who to put your faith in as you walk with David through his trials in life. His life isn't much different than ours.....in fact we all have a story to tell and it is a story about learning to trust and obey the God that created us. Our days are so short on this earth and the way we look at them and live them will determine our eternity. If we can keep our minds focused on the fact that this life is limited and so short. It is all designed to learn to trust the one who created us.
I so remember the seasons in my life when life itself seemed to overwhelm me and take my attention away from my creator. In fact, I didn't feel like I would even make it through the next day or the next month and really didn't want to if I had to continue to live it in the situation I found myself in at that very moment. BUT the things I learned about my God through those times are things I would never trade. I never want to go through those things again but I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't gone through those them. (Notice I said "through" them!)
David ends this book with exuberant praise...with excellence and great excitement! All that is in Him praises the Lord. That is what will last...an attitude of praise and thanksgiving...of trust and belief that He knows what is best. Trusting that your life is in His hands and He has not forgotten you but loves you and wants the best for you!
Believe me....THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!
Then another season comes and there is something else to learn.
