Asking for the Moon

Wow, Isaiah 7 & 8 totally pinpointed a huge red arrow on my low level of faith! (and for me, my faith is currently aimed at our housing situation)

Isaiah 7:10, 11 ---
God spoke again to Ahaz. This time he said,
Ask for a sign from your God.
Ask anything.
Be extravagant.
Ask for the moon!

That pumped me up with a glaring reminder that God is capable of ANYTHING! And that His thoughts -- and ways -- are higher than mine!

And why not ask? Why have i not been asking that way? Am i fearful that it won't happen and then I'll look foolish? Maybe sometimes.

Or maybe it's along the lines of reasoning Ahaz took:

But Ahaz said, "I'd never do that. I'd never make demands like that on God!"

Have i been confusing my faith-filled rights as a child of God with fear-filled thoughts that that kind of praying is actually just making demands on God?

Well, the fear-filled lies of the enemy have been exposed!

I am going to ask God for the moon!

Isaiah, 7:9, If you don't take your stand in faith, you won't have a leg to stand on.
Isaiah 8:10, Because when all is said and done, the last word is Immanuel --- God-With-Us.
Isaiah 8:17b, I stand my ground and hope
Isaiah 8:19-22 When others tell you... try [this and that]... Tell them, 'No, we're going to study the Scriptures'.....
