Good Morning to everyone who is still following our Bible Reading Schedule this year. Can't believe it is already Fall and we are in the last quarter of 2010. Time seems to be going faster.....as I get older!!!
I was reading in Galatians today and one of the verses really impressed me and made me think about something I know many of us deal with if we are in any kind of leadership - Christian and/or Secular. It's where Paul has been rebuking the church and asking them why they are already turning away from the trueth he had taught them about Jesus and have begun to follow another kind of teaching. He is pretty straight forward with his language. Then he makes this statement
Gal 1:10(NLT) "Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant?"
It made me ask myself that question, "Whose approval am I trying to win?"
It doesn't make any difference in my life, whether I am at home training my children or serving my husband or in the church with my fellow Believers or at work with people who might not know the Lord - my life should be lived in a fashion that will win God's approval and His alone!
Just something to think about on this rainy Thursday as you go about your day. If you live this way not everyone will like you but they will know who you are living for!
