“They are . . .

Shameless in the way they care only about themselves
Like clouds blowing over dry land without giving rain, promising much but producing nothing
Like trees without fruit at harvest time
Like wild waves of the sea, churning up the dirty foam of their shameful deeds
Wandering stars, heading for everlasting gloom and darkness”
Jude 12-14

People named “Jimmie I’ll take all you give me”
People who are loudmouthed braggarts, flattering others to get favors in return (vs. 16b)
People whose lives are like the wild waves of the ocean during a hurricane . . . totally out of control, destroying everything and everyone in their path.
People whose lives are like wandering stars . . . “out of orbit,” self-destructing on their way to the black hole.

Ultimate loneliness!

But we, who know Jesus, are called to . . .
“Build our lives on the foundation of our holy faith
Continue to pray as we are directed by the Holy Spirit
Show mercy
Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment”
Jude 20-23a

My heart is filled with compassion, having been touched by . . .

the many lives I’ve seen this past month in the adult psych ward . . . lives being stolen from and destroyed because of mental disorders . . . wondering, how, why?

seeing the number of very young children in therapy and at a psychiatrist’s office . . . wondering why, how?

It’s overwhelming . . . but I am called to pray as I am directed by the Holy Spirit and to speak His words into the lives of the person He brings across my path!

Our hearts should weep as God’s heart does . . . for the lost, the lonely, the hopeless . . . to snatch them from their current path and compel them onto the path of Life, Jesus!

I’m challenged, are you?

The Christmas season is especially difficult for individuals who are “invisible” to society, those “forgotten” by society, and those with mental health issues.

We are God’s instruments to bring the true gift of Christmas . . . Jesus . . . to this world . . . one person at a time!
