I am SO grateful for my friends, for YOU gals! Poor Job coulda used some friends like you!
Thank you for being the kind of friends who won't fall under Job's admonition:
"Oh, friends,.... do you have to be hard on me, too? Don't you ever tire of abusing me?" (19:21,22)
Thank you for being the kind of friends who would sit quietly in understanding of the suffering. Or who would lift up weary arms that hang down. Or bring a drink of water or a meal (why didn't Job's friends apparently not extend even those simple courtesies?)
Friends who would pray and beseech God for breakthrough. Who would intercede.
Who are
and Who do.
Thank you!

Ditto on grateful for each of you as friends! Love how God has and continues to knit our hearts together.
As for Job . . . I keep thinking back to Chapter 3, I think it was, when his 3 friends arrived . . . no one spoke for 7 days and nights. Job emerges from that silence by cursing the day he was born. What was he meditating on during those 7 days and nights??? The soul (mind, will & emotions) is the battlefield for sure and will toss us back and forth if we don't take authority over our soul.
Then Job's friends start in on him. Their encouragement comes across like Satan to Eve . . . "Did God really say?" Satan to Job via his friends, You used to say and believe this about God???
Lord, help me to know when to speak . . . when to be quiet . . . when to laugh . . . when to cry . . . with my friends!
