Friday June 5 Acts 23

I love have the Lord constantly prepared Paul for what was coming next. After he was almost killed by getting everyone upset and having the Parisees fight with the Sadducees - the Lord spoke to him in verse 11 "......Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well."
Next thing he knew he was transferred to Rome!!! But how he got there was a miracle in and of itself. Paul sure lead an exciting life - even though he was preaching the Gospel of Jesus. And people think being a Christian is "boring" and "uneventful". It's just like what you said yesterday, Arlene, - life isn't always comfortable when you are on the "front line" but it can sure be exciting!!!

Monday we will ready chapter 24 and finish up Acts with chapter 28 on Friday. Have a great day today and every day this weekend!!!

This passage is what Tessa learned about in Tot Town this past Sunday ... the focus of their lesson included Paul's nephew and his actions upon overhearing the plot of the 40 men. This "young man" took some risk, i imagine, in reporting what he had heard. But, praise God, he didn't let fear hold him back; instead he became a part of God's plan to, ultimately, spread the Gospel.

Lord, help me not to walk in fear, but in faith, when You want to use me,even in an everyday circumstance. For Your glory.
