Salty potato chips
Salty French fries
Salty (& buttery!!!) popcorn
Salty pretzels
Salty onion blossom
Salty cashew nuts!
It’s the salt . . . and the grease! . . . that draws my hand back into that bag of potato chips like a magnet, not the potato!
Salt makes things taste good!
Salt also creates thirst, de-ices (wintery streets and sidewalks), tenderizes, and preserves.
Mark 9:50 reads, “Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other.” (NLT)
We’ve been taught that we are to be salt in the world. But Mark says we are to have the qualities of salt among ourselves.
“Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.” (Psalm 34:8 ~ Message Bible)
Speaking of the goodness of God brings the qualities of salt into our lives:
. . . preserves – encourages and edifies our walk with the Lord
. . . de-ices and tenderizes our soul realm
. . . creates thirst for more of God
. . . peace
Be salty with the goodness of God!
