The words God spoke in Ezekiel 35 & 36 really excited me today! To hear God speak commands of life and prosperity, of rebuilding and replanting to the very mountains, the soil, fields, cities was just what i needed to read today!
But you, Mountains of Israel, will burst with new growth ... you'll be plowed and planted as before!
The country will burst into life, life and more life...
I'll give personal orders to the wheat fields, telling them to grow bumper crops...
I'll make sure your fruit trees and field crops flourish.
There are things in my life ... well, one house-shaped thing for sure, that i haven't been physically speaking to and commanding it to obey the will of God!
But reading God's directives to the physical circumstances of Israel's homeland, has really boosted my faith today!

Mom, i know you have at least 2 instances! whoa, there's another i just thought of.... remember that tornado we prayed away? and the car when we were almost home?! =)
But those weren't the ones i was thinking of .... =)

Yes ... you and Andrew are products of dad and me speaking faith!
The tornado . . . and the car . . . running out of gas but
by faith . . . after repenting for not getting gas! . . . the car started and we drove a block home with NO gas in the car!
I'm so thankful we serve a God of LIFE. . . a God of abundance!!! We can speak His LIFE into those dry bones in our lives.
I was also thinking of the time you spoke to your vegetable garden, and it grew crazy amounts of squash...
And the time you spoke over your dad's house, and it sold for what you needed in a buyer's market...
Heather - this is something you need to develope and preach! Great insight and a Word for others. I believe the earth and all that God created (remember, He gave us a will to decide to obey Him or not) listens to His commands and obeys Him. His desire is to have us obey Him just as the earth does. He is speaking ALL the time....are we listening???
